Walked out this morning,
Don’t believe what I saw.
A hundred billion bottles
Washed up on the shore.
Seems I’m not alone at being alone.
A hundred billion castaways
Looking for a home.
These are the kind of wooden cases of seltzer my grandfather carried up and down the tenement stairways to earn enough to bring his family (and my father) over from Poland. Also reminds me of the cherry sodas he made me every time we visited…beautiful shot…very nostalgic for me… L(
🙂 it´s great when one can associate pictures with memories, even if they are not our own… it´s kind of a visual soundtrack…
